Wildlife Systems, Inc. was formed in 1987 by wildlife biologist Greg Simons. This company's operational concept is based on providing a blend of outfitting services to accommodate hunter's needs, as well as providing wildlife management services to private landowners. WSI has grown into a capable full service operation employing two full-time staff biologists, as well as a strong support staff including office personnel and field support. Our land base is huge, including many private properties totaling over 400,000 acres, most of which we have exclusive hunting rights. We currently offer hunts for whitetail deer, mule deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, Rio Grand wild turkey, dove, predators, wild hogs, free range aoudad sheep, free range nilgai antelope and other exotic game species.
Why Hunt Whitetail Deer With Us?
Simply put, WSI is the most diverse whitetail deer hunting outfitter in the business. We currently provide Whitetail Deer packages / guided Texas deer hunts on approximately 125,000 acres which is made up of several different hunting leases or ranches located in various areas of Texas including South, Central, and West Texas. Since 1987, we have hosted hunting for approximately 3,000 whitetail deer hunters, and we have never had a given year where less than 90% of our hunters have taken their whitetail bucks.
Mule Deer Hunting
Our mule deer hunting takes place on a large private property in far West Texas. Texas mule deer are considered desert mule deer, which is the subspecies Odocoileus hemoinus crooki. The crooki subspecies of mule deer is recognized in its own category by Safari Club International and is one of the required deer categories in completing the SCI North American Deer Slam. Mature Mule Deer bucks will typically weigh approximately 200 pounds on the hoof and will generally sport classic dichotomous forked 4 x 4 racks with average spreads ranging from 22" to 27", but wider spreads do occasionally show up on our Texas mule deer hunts.
Antelope Hunting in Texas
North America’s fastest land animal needs no introduction. These speed goats are well known in the hunting circles and are a symbol of the American West. We have been conducting pronghorn antelope hunting trips since 1991 with a virtual 100% success rate, less a couple of individuals who went home without an antelope on their own accord. We consider pronghorn antelope hunting to be the dove hunting of big game, as this is a relaxed, low physical hunting, where hunters consistently see plenty of Pronghorn Antelope with little effort.
Texas Turkey Hunts
Our Texas spring turkey hunts have grown in popularity in recent years.
WSI currently has a tremendous land base with properties located in the heart of the state’s best spring turkey hunting regions.
It is no wonder that over 75% of our spring turkey hunting business is repeat customers, as our success rates every year are near 100% on hunters taking at least one Rio Grande gobbler, and most hunters
