Illinois Turkey Harvest Up 4% In 2012
Hunters in Illinois harvested a preliminary statewide total of 15,941 wild turkeys during the 2012 Spring Turkey Season. The 2012 total compares with the statewide turkey harvest of 15,121 in 2011.
Virginia Spring Turkey Harvest Down 2%
Spring turkey hunters reported harvesting 15,326 birds during the 2012 season. The statewide harvest was 2% lower than last year's total of 15,698 birds.
Missouri Spring Turkey Harvest Tops 40,000 Birds
Hunters checked 40,447 turkeys during Missouri’s regular spring turkey season, up by 2,120 from 38,327 last spring, or about 5.5 percent.
