NWTF Calls Women to Convention
ATLANTA — The National Wild Turkey Federation is holding its 32nd annual Convention and Sport Show Feb. 21 to Feb. 24 at the Georgia World Congress Center, and is offering something special for all the women in attendance.
The NWTF's Women in the Outdoors program is hosting a Ladies in Leadership meeting Friday, Feb. 22, from 10:30 a.m. until noon, and is open to all current Women in the Outdoors event coordinators and women who are considering hosting an event.
The Women in the Outdoors program is about learning new skills, meeting new people and spending time with family and friends. During the events, women receive expert instruction and chances to try outdoor activities.
"This will be a fun, upbeat meeting no woman will want to miss," said Patty Foster, NWTF national coordinator for Women in the Outdoors, southern region. "We will talk about the women's program and enjoy fellowship with other women who are interested in the outdoors. Plus, Foxy Huntress is hosting a fabulous dessert party and giving Foxy Huntress gift bags to everyone who attends."
Foxy Huntress offers stylish clothing without sacrificing functionality for the millions females in the U.S. involved in hunting and target shooting sports. Items found in the line's Huntress Collection provide women with stylish and durable choices that look good, function well and provide great comfort.
This year's convention will feature more than 545 booths offering the latest hunting gear, and women will enjoy browsing for items made especially for women, home décor items, clothing and more in addition to learning about the NWTF's outreach program.
Thanks to the NWTF and its partners, women have discovered that camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking, shooting, boating and bird watching are fun ways to reconnect with special people in their lives. Event participants also learn the importance of wildlife management and the role hunters play in conservation.
With 18 full-time Women in the Outdoors regional coordinators, a quarterly magazine dedicated to women's interests and outdoor learning events throughout North America, the NWTF is making a difference.
