Founded in 1893 by Oscar Chain, the Chain Land & Cattle Company has grown from the original one hundred and sixty acres to more than 60,000 across northwest Oklahoma and south-central Kansas while continuing to be operated by the Chain family. The Chain Ranch Sportsman’s Club offers outstanding western Oklahoma bobwhite quail hunting. Thousands of acres of plum thickets and ragweed provide tremendous habitat for this treasured game bird. Besides this prime wild quail habitat, the Chain Ranch Sportsman's Club offers a 640 acre commercial hunting preserve. Members are welcome to try their luck on "clean-up" hunts or schedule a day hunt for an additional fee. Non-members can also arrange special day hunts or let us organize a "European Pheasant Shoot" for your group of 10 to 20 shooters. The dove hunting on the Chain Ranch offers not only an outstanding wing shooting experience, but a great time to fellowship with other club members and their guests. The annual “Chain Ranch Sportsman’s Club Banquet” is held during the first week of dove season. Members are encouraged to attend this two day event that features fabulous food, a bass fishing tournament, and terrific dove shooting.
