Wintergreen Hunting Preserve is a family owned and operated public hunting preserve in Bladenboro, NC. We are conveniently located on Highway 211 just 15 miles east of Lumberton and Interstate 95. The exceptional quality of our gamebirds and hunting grounds have given us the reputation of having some of the finest hunting in the south. If walking up behind a pair of intense, muscle trembling bird dogs knowing a Bobwhite is about to explode from cover gets you excited then Wintergreen is the place for you. A popular way to hunt Pheasants in Europe is for "common folks" to walk the fields and brush and flush the birds so they will fly over the "royal" hunters who are positioned in stands. In our simulation of this "royal" hunt, twenty shooters are positioned in stands 60 yards apart, arranged in a circular fashion. After several birds are released, the shooters rotate to the next stand until all shooter have shot from each stand. Most shoots are for 200 Pheasants. After the shoot all harvested birds are cleaned and divided equally among the shooters. This is a safe and fun hunt that is great for corporate entertainment or a club outing. Lunch is provided along with a good helping of action-packed fun Or maybe it’s that unmistakable sound of a flock of Mallards that have just set their wings to descend on your decoys at the break of dawn. Or maybe you like the fast and furious action of a more social European style Pheasant shoot. Which ever you prefer, you can be assured we will do our best to provide you with the memories of hunting the way you dreamed it should be.
