GUIDES
Guide service is available for all hunting and fishing trips (see seperate pages for individual info). You can hire a guide by the day, hour, or week. Please call and we can set up the perfect vacation, hunt, or outdoor recreation just for you and your group.
If you don't want to hunt with a gun or bow, than bring a camera. We have incredible scenery and wildlife to catch in their natural environments.

Maine Deer Hunting The Northwoods of Maine produce some of the East Coast's largest white-tailed deer, both in body and racks. Bucks with field-dressed weights of 200-250 lbs are not uncommon for the area.
There are millions of acres of land not posted; swampy, hardwood, mountainous or flatland; just waiting for you. Here at Camp Wapiti, you are free from hunter pressure. Maps are given to each deer hunter on arrival, or on making reservations. Target practice site is available to make sure your gun is sighted in.
During this time you can also hunt coyote, grouse, snowshoe hares and even bear on your big game license. We are in deer management unit #4, with unit #2 nearby, if you choose to apply for antlerless deer permit.
Weeks run from Sunday to Sunday, a full six-day deer hunt.
BLACK BEAR HUNTING IN MAINE
We are the oldest licensed Maine bear hunting camp in the Patten area. All our bears hunts are over bait and are in areas where no other guides hunt. All bear hunters are put on our most active baits. Camp Wapiti's bear kill ratio runs as high or higher than any camp in the State.
We take a limited number of bear hunters each year. This year 2008, the first week is full with the second week 75% full. So there is still room from the second week on out. Call and make your reservations today.
These are completely guide control bear hunts, they stay in the area and pick you up bringing you back to camp for a delicious home cooked meal. We provide complete transportation to and from the bait sites, removal of the bear from the woods, field dressing, and a scale and pole to hang the bear on.
There is fishing available during the day (with a license) right on our lake (stocked with Trout by the state).
The cabins are rustic and very comfortable, with all of your linens fully provided. Non hunting family members welcome.
$450 for a non hunter is the all inclusive price.
MAINE MOOSE HUNTING
Maine Moose If you're lucky enough to draw a Maine moose permit, Camp Wapiti can arrange your moose hunt. We are ideally situated in Wildlife Management district # 5, 10, 11, 6.
GROUSE & WOODCOCK HUNTING IN MAINE
Season opens October 1st and runs through Dec 31st.
Northern Maine has abundance of grouse and woodcock and with the many logging roads that branches off, it can offer the best hunt. Your hunting dogs are welcomed at Camp Wapiti.
Between the incredible beauty of the area, the numerous birds and the warm hospitality your hunt will always be memorable.
MAINE BOW HUNTING
We offer bow hunts in October. Either deer sexes may be taken from our stands. A special archery license is required. On site archery practice available from stand or ground.
