The Suisun Marsh Hunting Preserve is an owner operated preserve located two miles south of Interstate 80 on Chadbourne Road immediately east of the Anheuser Busch Brewery in Fairfield,California. Access is excellent and is within an hours drive of the cental Bay Area. It is a Zone B licensed Pheasant Hunting Club dedicated solely to the development of wildlife habitat for quality pheasant hunting. The club consists of 1600 acres of a wide range of cover from raw tules to the delight of the Lab owner to the lower type cover preferred by the Pointer owner. Sudan Grass,Milo,Fescue,Atoplex, and Pampas are some of the plants used in cover development. The club features a built in system to prevent overcrowding which permits the hunter to work his dog without interference from others. It is divided into well defined areas of from 20 to 40 acres. Hunters desiring that birds be planted for them are assigned to an area by reservation and it is planted according to their wishes. Of course it is not necessary to make a reservation to hunt, many of out members never do. They either come at 8:00 a.m. begining of the hunt day and hunt in the non-reserved areas or come at 10:00 a.m. and hunt wherever they choose. Trained hunting dogs area available on a daily rent basis. Please feel free to drop in, meet us and see our operation. We encourage family participation in this recreation.
