Elk
Arizona is known for some of the finest elk hunting in the United States. You can hunt elk with a bow, rifle or muzzleloader. All elk hunts are on a permit by draw basis. The Arizona Hunting Regulations come out in the month of May. Information on these regulations can be found at the Arizona Game & Fish Department.
Kaibab Mule Deer
The Kaibab area produces some of the largest trophy bucks in the world. Our clients have taken ten bucks that gross over 200 points. The largest non-typical buck grossed 231 B&C and the best typical buck scored 211 B&C. The Kaibab tags are on a permit draw basis. Arizona now has bonus a bonus point system for deer.
Coues Deer
Hunters have taken twelve Boone & Crockett Coues deer over the years and two of which scored in the top 20 in Pope and Young. You can hunt Coues deer with a rifle or a bow. The entire month of January is open for Coues Deer or Mule Deer Archery. The tags for this are purchased on a over the counter basis. The rifle tags are on a permit draw system with the bonus point system.
Quail Hunting
With Quail it is common to see fifty or more birds per covey and ten to twelve covies per day. The limit on Gambels Quail is fifteen birds per day per hunter. Gambels Quail season starts in mid October and runs through mid February. All quail hunts include accomodations and meals.
