Upper Michigan Deer Hunting

Deer hunting is the foundation for Greenwoods Outfitting. We have high numbers of deer and high success rates. Add this to our accommodations, friendly atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings and you have the makings for a exciting adventure!  One thing is certain. You will see a lot of deer here. Our deer concentration runs from 50 to 100 deer per square mile--that is a lot. Regardless of whether you book a muzzleloader, archery, or rifle hunt, nearly everyone has opportunities. Almost everyone gets at a shot opportunity with at least one antlered buck, usually many.

Upper Michigan Turkey Hunting

Come get the gobbler! We offer both an excellent spring and fall turkey hunt. Our turkey hunting is done on our private farmlands. We will provide you with lodging and access to the private hunting grounds. The calling will be left up to you, so you can have the full turkey hunting experience.

Upper Michigan Bear Hunting

Here in Michigan you must apply for a bear tag. Michigan has a preference point system for the bear draw. If you want to hunt, you need to begin building up points. Although it's possible to get one in your first year, it will usually take you three or more years to draw a tag. As a result of the limited tags, my farms receive very little bear hunting pressure, so the bears tend to run larger and more numerous than on areas receiving more pressure. You should have 100% opportunity on our bear hunts. We exclusively hunt over active baits, usually in close proximity to the cornfields the bears are in route to. You can harvest your bear with either bow or gun.

Upper Michigan Pheasant Hunting

We have a large number of wild pheasants as a result of a very active local Pheasant Forever Club, which I am a sponsor of. Our habitat is great and so is the hunting. You can be guided with our dogs, or bring your own. You tell us!

Upper Michigan Waterfowl Hunting

We have a number of ponds on our farms which the ducks and geese frequent. Three of these ponds were designed and built by Ducks Unlimited. We often get large numbers of geese on our corn and soybean fields. This hunt is a nice combination with archery deer.
