With elk, black bear, turkey duck and deer hunting adventures available Arkansas has a season for all hunters however, the white-tailed deer is the most popular big game animal in Arkansas. Each year in Arkansas aproximatley 350,000 people hunt deer in Arkansas. The Arkansas whitetail rut runs from late September through February with the peak rut in the north occurring from October through mid-November and in the south from late October through early December.

Where we have a guide service that offers duck, deer, turkey hunting and also fishing year round on 1,300 acres of private land joining the "White River Refuge". Guides are with you at all times. We also offer hunting in rice fields, lake, timber and bottom land with 5 floating duck blinds.

| State Recreation Areas Offer Summer Nature Camps for Kids by host | Angostura and Rocky Point Recreation Areas are hosting nature day camps for kids ages 7-12 on Aug. 20 and 21, respectively. The camps are great opportunities for kids to explore the surrounding recreation areas and focus on the outdoors. The camps run from 9:30 a.m.
to noon. Angostura Recreation Area near Hot Springs will host the camp on Aug.
20. The theme of the day camp is "Animal Tracking for Kids." This nature day camp takes participants on a guided hike into a prairie setting and woody ravines to discover various signs of wildlife.
