About Me
Hello and thanks for visiting my profile.
I joined the foremostoutdoors.com team as a writer and pro staff in January of 2010. I started my communications career as a sports anchor at WEAU-TV in Eau Claire, WI. After four years at WEAU, I did TV and radio work for a major Wisconsin based retail company. After a brief stint in the family business, I returned to television in 2008. I now work as an independent television producer across Western Wisconsin. I am currently developing an outdoors television series that will launch in late 2010.
My outdoor journeys have taken me across the upper Midwest in pursuit of deer, turkeys, upland game, waterfowl, and fish of all species. Some of my most memorable moments include mule deer hunting in Wyoming with my father and grandfather, hunting waterfowl on the prairie potholes of North Dakota, fishing walleyes on the Mississippi River with 2008 FLW Champion Tommy Skarlis, and hunting whitetails and turkeys in southwest Wisconsin.
The beauty of nature fuels my passion for the outdoors. Team work and camaraderie are the most enjoyable aspects of the experience. Whether it’s fishing with my wife, Jenny, chasing birds with my loyal yellow lab, Willie, or sharing a hunt with family, friends, or even strangers(also known as new friends), enjoying the day with a partner is what it’s all about. My best buddy is almost 2 years old and it won't be long before my son, Jack, will share outdoor experiences with me.
Conservation of our resources is key to insuring our hunting heritage. I am a longtime member and volunteer of Ducks Unlimited. I encourage you to volunteer with a conservation organization today. It will pay dividends tomorrow.
I'm honored to share my passion and knowledge of the outdoors with the readers of foremosthunting.com. I learn something new every time I am in the field. I believe sharing information helps us all become better hunters and stewards of the land, water, and resources.
