Wis turkey permit disaster!

I went to Farm and Fleet to pick up an xtra permit and the dnr computer system was not working. I heard there was 200 people standing around the DNR office complaining. Another guy I talked to at Farm and Fleet said he was unable to get one online. I gave up after an hour. When I went back at 5pm my unit was sold out. Anyone else have problems?

I was at the DNR at noon and saw & heard what was happening and was back in the truck by 12:05! I was fianlly able to get a permit later online. There were lots of tags left for my zone so i wans't too worried. Lots of public land in Black River Falls area Make sure when you are online to get he right zone ... it would be a shame to be a zone away from your buddies Eh gamebirdhunts???

What a mess! I was in line at the DNR offices at 8:15. First of all there was this guy with gold chains in line behind me saying "I Pitty The Fool Who Dosen't Give Me A Turkey Permit". Then we finally get in the door and find out that The DNR is not selling permits, but handing out numbers to come back and stand in lne at 10 when the start selling permits. I didn't make it back at 10, but I heard that they sold two permits in the Janesville office and then the computers went down. They were down everywhere even online untill after 5:00 pm today. I guess turkey hunting is getting really popular.

I did get a nice apology letter from the DNR with my permit once I finally was able to get online and order my permit. About 6:00 PM that night.
