Does anyone Turkey hunt Tennessee or Kentucky that can give me some direction as to where to hunt public lands?

Sorry, I'm a northern boy but if you find some good spots let me know. I'll come down and hunt with you. How does the season work in your part of the country. Is it a over the counter license or do you have to apply for a permit? Here in Wisconsin you need to pre apply for a permit and it is a lottery system.

I'm a northern boy to, trapped in a southern state. No permit needed down here, we have plenty of birds here. I just don't know where to hunt them. I think that I will asked my neighbor for permission to hunt the land behind my house.

No permit you say? That would be awsome. Here you have to win the lottery to get a tag in the early season. It is getting better though. Each year they seem to give out a few more tags. My biggest issue is I forget to apply and then end up standing in line trying to get a late season left over at the DNR.
