This is your chance to talk about the less than desirable products that you paid good money for and don't work very well. To tell the truth I don't find too many lemons...but I got one now just for you. Tell us about your lemons too.

The Ameristep Ground Blind: Well it looks good, and it works as advertised, the game seems to be oblivious of it. Trouble is, it is not durable. The roof rods broke the 4th time out in the field even though we handled it with "kid gloves." Now this an expensive Item so I'm not pleased at all.

The problem is in the internal rods that are under pressure when popped open. The connections are too weak to stand constant use. It is a shame as otherwise it is a good peice of equipment. Now I have to carry a makeshift tent pole with me to prop up the roof.

Lesson: Hunting equipment however useful must be made to last.

Thanks Uncle John,

I am contemplating a ground blind purchase. Here's one I may get laughed at for. A few years back I bought some of those socks that come with D-cell battery connections to keep your feet warm. Save your cash and invest in some high quality wool socks with quality boots/waders.
