The Power of the pen, and one hell raising crossbow hunter got it done. No one has ever been able to hunt turkey in Louisiana with a crossbow, not even after they legalized it for (all quadrupeds and birds). everybody now should be able to hunt all animals that are legaly bow hunted in this state..but for last year they didn't allow crossbows for turkey. This set off a bomb with the La ACF (Me) and I called them with a friendly reminder that they goofed..well that didn't work. So I wrote the infamous article "Handicapped Hunters Shafted in Louisiana"  and published it here, and a few other places. That was all it took, we win again.

I invite all readers to go to the La dept of wildlife and fisheries and check out the new turkey rules, the adition of the crossbow for turkey is "Uncle John's Law." sorry to gloat so much but you have no idea just how difficult it is to do something like that.

Anyway I and all hunters of Louisiana can hunt turkey with the crossbow. I may never get one but maybe someone will..Pass it on.

Uncle John
