I researched all of the major camo brands and ended up purchasing BassPros Redhead line. It was theor premer line that I had to save for, but it was well worth it. I can be converted into many scenarios such as: hot weather, cold weather, rain, snow etc. I am thrilled with the quality and versaltility. The camo pattern is a dark Mossy Oak.

Up untill a few years pot luck of brands based on whats on sale and how cold it is.   Two years ago I found a scent blocker suite on clearance at the end of the season and since then I wear that as my outer layer pretty much all the time.  I don't know if it's my imagination or not but I feel like I've not only seen more deer but gotten closer to them.  I still pay close attention to wind direction though.

Archer, good luck with the new suit.  Let us know how it works out for you.  Does it have any scent-control capabilities?  Did  you choose it primarily because of the flexibility in layers?

I choose it because of the flexibility of the layers. I hunt the south now as well as travel back to NY in the winiter for Deer. I needed camo for various weather.

Being a fowler, I must say that the Drake line of clothing is hard to beat for the money. They popped out on the seen a few years back and have earned  good marks with the fowlers in these parts. As far as pattern goes, I'm fond of The Advantage Max-4 HD. Shadow Grass was good in it's day but at a distance, it  tends to run together.

I would love to see pictures of a guy in camo in a bunch of different locations not just a guy in hardwood camo in the hardwoods. Maybe we should do a test of the camo in different locations. If your like me you can't afford to have a different camo for every different location you hunt so I am interested in the most versatile camo pattern. One of these days I'm going to take a pair of military fatigues, A Real Tree pattern and some kind of generic pattern and see which one blends in the best in all situations. What do you guys think?

I think it's a great idea.  I've got a couple of patterns that I could add to the mix if you need some help.

Just a thought but maybe we could/should do a take off of "us guys" in our natural element. Guess I'd be standing in the marsh with my camo pattern "doing it's thing" You guys could be "up a tree". It would take a while to put together but it would answer? the bosses question. We could do one in color and another in Black and white..... to see what a duck/turkey sees and also a deer sees
