I was out by one of my deer stands today, I wanted to do a little late season scouting with all the snow on the ground. To my delight there were quite a few deer tracks around the stand and I saw 5 of the cross a ways down from my stand. The looked a bit skinny but still healthy. Anyway, I get a bit worried with the way the DNR is managing the heard in my area (CWD zone) that they will totally wipe out the heard, between all the permits and then the hard winter. Anyway, it was good to see some sign and some deer. As soon as this snow melts I am off to do some shed hunting. |
