I voted for Wisconsin but not because it has the biggest deer. Iowa and Illinois will probably have the very largest bucks. However, Wisconsin traditionally has the most record book bucks(but not as many top end ones). The main reason I voted for Wisconsin is access. It takes years to get a buck tag for a non-resident and it is really expensive. In Illinois, land access is impossible unless you know someone or are willing to shell out thousands to hunt with an outfitter. In Wisconsin, a non-resident tag is fairly priced(compared to many other states) and it's possible to shoot a record book buck on public land. |

I thought Illinois would be a close second to Iowa. I would love to hunt in either state some day. For now I am happy in Kentucky and Ohio. However I would love to see Kentucky become Full Inclusive of the crossbow during archery season, like Ohio is. |

I'm with you on the crossbow thing Fuzzy! By the way... from 2005-2010 Wisconsin ranked #1 in B&C Whitetails with 383 entries. Illinois was second with 299. Iowa third with 224. Ohio 4th with 215. Missouri 5th with 214. |
