I'm thinking about buying one of these Wake Makers.

The Duck Commander is pimping them... not that an endorsement really matters.  I'm just looking for something different in my spread.  Everybody is using spinners.  What do you think, good idea?  Does anyone on here have one?

Usually adding motion to any spread is going to help. The exception being motion that isn't natural. Personally, I think the ducks move too fast with the wakemaker. A bunch of abrupt movement just doesn't look right to me. I use normal decoys sometimes with and sometimes without a spinning wing decoy. I have found that the main thing is having some movement on the water. If there are plenty of waves, I won't do anything else. If the water is really calm, a few quiver magnets from Edge by Expedite really help. If you've ever seen birds from above, there are always ripples coming out from under them. Quiver magnets do a great job of mimicing that action.
