For me ,just about all of my fowling is done on the water, I do, on ocassion get invited to  Canada goose hunt in cut  corn or wheat fields!!!  but don't have any spots to call my own.

My do have one stationary blind but hunt out of my floater which is a Lowe Roughneck 16" with a folding blind attached to it. For my skinny water/backwater hunting I have a Otter Stealth 1200. It serves as a layout boat as I can pull it up to the shore line, being low profile, all they see are the deks. A true killing machine it is

What's your style??

I hunt some private land with a built in sunken blind here in Wisconsin but when I get the urge to try something new I usually borrow a camo john boat from a friend and try and sneak it into some reads or cover it with netting. It sounds like you have a great set up.

"Real fowlers do it on water" just threw that in there, I love to field hunt the geese, trying to find some spots for Sept now.  Ain't nothing like it!

I don't know if you'd call it a style because I probally look pretty funny but I hunt from shore when ever I can and send my dog to get the birds. I have been known to use a small John Boat now and again, but most of my duck hunting is in small waters or even beaver ponds and waders do the trick to get the decoys out.

Some of my best hunts have been in skinny water and swamps

I prefer the back waters and small streams to big water any time. Not as many hunters and often more ducks.

MOST OF THE TIME!!!    Will be laying in the fields all Labor day weekend working on the resident  Canada geese. Our bag limit has been increased from a 5 bird bag limit to 10 and we are also allowed to hunt til sunset this year.....  Should get very interesting here in Va.

The limit and season for canadian honkers here in WI keeps getting better. Pretty soon you will be able to hunt geese year round.
