On the ride home from work today saw the first birds of the year. Several pairs of Canada's have their baby out and about for all to see.....and see I did

I am amazed at how tuff these birds are. We have had a ton of rain here in WI over the last few weeks and I was driving by a overflowing creek and was shocked to see a goose still sitting tight on it's nest even though the water was well up over the nest. Is that normal?

I'd like to see that! I would not think the eggs would survive. I guess if the water went down and she was able to stay on the nest and keep the eggs warm..... but how long can set set the nest would be my question?????

I wish I would have taken a picture. She was there when I went by the first time and then again 6 hours later on my way home. That's dedication.
