It's been a tuff year here in Wisconsin. The numbers of deer are way down. I'd love to see your videos when you get them done.

Deer numbers here in Wisconsin for the first weekend are down 25%! Slightly down on bucks (about 5%) but way down on does (about 38%). Maybe the herd wasn't as numerous as the DNR thought?

The preliminary November 2009 gun deer kill numbers are 195,647. That is compared to 276, 895 preliminary count in 2008. The

attached pdf file

shows the county breakdown. Juneau county where I hunted this year had about a 40% drop from last year (The state saw a 30% drop)

There is a movement to fire all the DNR Big Game Managers and I beleive this is a great idea. These so called managers are devastating the deer herd in Wisconsin. All the generous tags plus the CWD zones etc. add that into two hard winters and it equals a deer herd that is way down. No one needs unlimited doe tags. Wake up DNR!
