My Brother-in Law got this great buck last year and I asked him to briefly share it with us.

Big John - "After moving deeper in the hollow due to the wind, i set up 20 yards off a scrape line and hung up some select estrus (Tinks). I sat down behind a fallen tree to break up my shape and began grunting. Five minutes later this beast came lumbering down the scrape line straight to the scent offering me a twenty yard shot."

Not bad big guy! It certainly doesn't hurt to be ex-Marine Corp. Recon Marksman, and a great hunter to boot. And to think that I was one ridge over from this deer watching a bunch of spikes. -Archer

I hope the community enjoys the photos of this 2007 Big Whitetail Deer.

Wow, what a great buck. Thanks for sharing. Like the real estate saying goes "location, location location" I think its a combination of location, luck and skill.

Did you get that thing scored?

Hey Antlers, Welcome to the site. I think Archer is from Kentucky and now lives in TN. What are the odds?

Antlers,
Welcome to the site!

I need to pick your brain about hunting in TN. Public lands, leases, deer, duck turkey hunting etc...

Thanks for the compliments.  I have not had him scored yet , I just got him back from the taxidermist last week.  I let archer score him when he comes up to hunt, but just to let you know his bases are over 6 inches and he has 21inch spread.

Welcome to the forum. What a incredible deer congrats to you.

So have you seen any cousins, sons or brothers running around that compare to this one?

jon b My neighbor has trail cam photos of a big buck with the same crab claws and stickers coming off the G2. Our farm borders his land but I shot my buck over a mile from there on the other end of our farm. But i am sure they are related.

Hey Snowman, welcome to the site. What part of the country are you from? A buck like that is all I want for christmas. Heck you could even combine christmas and birthday for a few years.
